Appointments with Doctors (and Lions!)

There’s a lot of new learning going on in the Komi family. Mujahid continues in the JVS program to prepare him for work. Learning English has accelerated as a wonderful group of college students from BC are tutoring Huda and Paul and have the added advantage of also speaking Arabic. Another volunteer led the whole family in an art and music afternoon at home. They had a ball!

Additional appointments, medical and school related, continue each week, gradually increasing the family’s independence. They are quite adept at taking the T to appointments, training, and grocery shopping.

On a beautiful Fall day Paul and Mansy went to the zoo. Everyone’s favorite exhibit was the lions, such stately regal creatures. In addition to the animals, both boys enjoyed the playgrounds and everyone enjoyed lunch.
