MOVING ALONG: Things are moving forward for the Komi family. Some of the bureaucratic snags have been loosened; everyone now has Mass Health cards, and the SNAP (food stamp) card is now working so they can shop for food in the neighborhood.
SCHOOL: Paul and Mansy went off to school last Monday wearing their crisp new navy pants and light blue shirts—the school’s dress code. Paul is in the sixth grade and will have his classes in English. This will be difficult at first. Fortunately, the Arabic speaking tutors will be able to come on Saturdays. Mansy will begin Kindergarten and will have door-to-door transportation.
