ANOTHER WEEK: Wow!! Paul began 6th grade classes and Mansy began Kindergarten on Tuesday. Mujahid walks them over in the morning and meets them after school. They like school and come home with homework folders. Paul is especially happy that there is a boy from Emirates in his class who speaks Arabic and they can help each other. Mansy is still waiting to get door-to-door bus transportation (it takes him 40 minutes to walk to school). Kudos to Lisa Majewski for following up on all the calls with the principal and the nurse on class placement and bus transportation!
INTERNET: Mujahid would like to get Internet access for Paul and can pay for it himself. Richard Daggett has donated computers ready to go for Paul and another for Mujahid. He will work with the family to get them registered for a special Comcast Internet access program that is only $9.99 per month for any child getting a free school lunch. Catholic Charities recommended the program. The BC students who now come on Saturday to help Paul with English can help with using the Internet. Mujahid is very excited about this next step that will help him learn English and Paul to get help with school assignments.
