It’s one month until school starts! So, it’s time to shop for school supplies! Mother Caroline Academy is a tuition-free private school for low-income middle school girls in grades 4-8 in Dorchester. Each fall, parishioners at Sacred Heart Parish have been very generous in donating school supplies for the seventy students and ten teachers at MCA. In September, classes will be in-person. Again this year, due to COVID, donations will be made in the form of AMAZON or STAPLES gift cards, which will certainly assist the students and their teachers. Since many of the families experience food insecurity, they have little to no money for school supplies. Our drive begins in August and runs through the weekend of September 11/12. However, if possible, please send your donations early so that the students and teachers have the supplies as they begin the school year. You can mail a plastic gift card to Mary Louise Greenidge, Director of Development, Mother Caroline Academy and Education Center, 515 Blue Hill Avenue Dorchester, MA 02121. Another option is to email an e-card to her at mgreenidge@mcaec.org. If you prefer, you may make a monetary donation for school supplies by mail to Mother Caroline Academy or online at www.mcaec.org/.
Your generosity and support make a difference every day!
