2022 SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE August 13 through September 11
Mother Caroline Academy (MCA) is a tuition-free independent school for girls in grades 3-8, serving traditionally under-resourced Boston neighborhoods. The grade 3 class is new this fall! The Board of Trustees has approved a plan to add Grades 1, 2 and Kindergarten over the next few years since early education is the key for longevity and academic success. MCA is growing and needs additional support and new donors.
Each fall, Sacred Heart parishioners have been very generous in donating school supplies for the sixty-five students and ten teachers at MCA. Donations can be made in the form of AMAZON or STAPLES or TARGET gift cards. Since many of the families experience food insecurity, they have little to no money for school supplies. MCA provides, all school supplies to them! Our drive begins the weekend of August 13/14 and runs through the weekend of September 11/12. However, if possible, please send your donations early so that the students and teachers have the supplies as they begin the school year. You can mail a plastic gift card to Marie Louise Greenidge, Director of Development, Mother Caroline Academy and Education Center, 515 Blue Hill Avenue Dorchester, MA 02121. Another option is to email an e-card to her at DONATE BY EMAIL. If you prefer, you may make a monetary donation for school supplies by mail to Mother Caroline Academy or online at Mother Caroline Academy ONLINE. Please mention that you are a SH parishioner. Your generosity and support make a difference every day! Thanks for considering a donation! Margaret LeBlanc and Jane McGuire
