The Monthly Mass for the Sick is sponsored by the Mass for the Sick ministry of the Collaborative of Sacred Heart and Our Lady’s Church. Fr. Leroy Owens, formerly at Our Lady’s, will celebrate the Mass and Anointing of the Sick. Following refreshments, Deacon Bill Koffel will talk about “Examples of Loving Service: Jesus Teaches Us to Wash Feet.” Deacon Bill, who has served as a permanent deacon at SHOL since 2006, will share some thoughts on various ministries of service, particularly those concerning people who are aging and sick.
The evening is designed to bring joy, hope, and peace to those living with serious/chronic illness, and their caregivers, family and friends. The Mass and program will both be held downstairs at Our Lady’s.
