Blessing of the Animals

Sunday, October 3, 2021, 1:00 PMOn Sunday, October 3, at 1pm, the Collaborative will celebrate the Blessing of the Animals, hosted this year at Sacred Heart. St. Francis, who is known for his love of animals and all creation, has been honored in a special way at Sacred Heart Parish through the Guild of St. Francis. Our Lady’s has also marked the Blessing of the Animals for many, many Octobers.
This year, Deacon Bill Koffel will celebrate one common blessing for the Collaborative. Bring your animals—real or stuffed!—to the blessing at 1:00pm. (11:30am Mass at Sacred Heart should be dismissed around 12:30pm, giving you time to get your pets from home and return to the parish.)
