Bambinelli Sunday

On the Third Sunday of Advent, December 17, at the Sacred Heart 9:30am and Our Lady’s 10:00am Masses, we invite parishioners young and old to bring the Christchild figurine from their home nativity set to be blessed during Mass. This practice of blessing the Christchild (the “Bambinello”) was initiated by St. Pope John Paul II many years ago and remains an annual tradition in parishes around the world, including at St. Peter’s Square in Rome. Filled with the joy of the Third Week of Advent, allow this blessing to bring peace, sanctity, and joyful anticipation into your home and into your prayer before Christmas.
