Boston’s first snowfall was the Komi family’s first snowfall, ever. As the snow drifted down they were in awe at its beauty. They laughed with delight at what we take for granted. Later that day Paul went to his first birthday party. More wonderment. A six-foot artificial Christmas tree adorns their living room, decorated with colorful lights and balls and snowflakes (contributed by our religious ed seventh graders). Paul and Mansy were eager decorators. While waiting as refugees in Egypt they had a live tree less than two feet tall. But the greatest wonder of all awaits them at this writing; Huda is expecting a baby daughter before Christmas. What could be more wonderful than a Christmastide baby!
